Kenneth was born on December 9, 1932 in Syracuse, New York, the son of Mark and Theresa (Ohmann) McArdell. He married Shirley Gentile on May 29, 1954 in Baldwinsville, New York. She survives in Gridley, Illinois.
Also surviving are his children, Sheree (David Johnson) McArdell of Towanda; Doreen McArdell of Florida; Sandy McArdell of Gridley; Glenn McArdell of Normal; Bryan (Frieda) McArdell of Gridley; eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, and his son, Kenneth J. McArdell, Jr.
Kenneth was employed at Link Simulation & Training in Binghamton, New York, and when he and his family moved to Illinois, he was employed at Caterpillar, Inc. in Joliet.
Kenneth loved music, and often played the banjo, organ, and harmonica. He enjoyed taking trips to Las Vegas with his wife, and we was an avid Syracuse fan. Most of all, Kenneth loved being with his family.
