BLOOMINGTON - Marian Josephine Homan, 80, of Bloomington passed away Tuesday, June 13, 2017 at 11:50 p.m. at Aperion Care in Bloomington. She was born August 3, 1936, the daughter of Fred and Helen Jurd Stiles. She married Emmett (Bob) Homan on November 15, 1968 in Bloomington. He precedes her in death.
Marian was known as a "jack of all trades," and especially enjoyed singing and cooking, possessing a number of famous recipes. Over the years, Marian worked as a hairdresser and sales clerk at several local shops. She could often be found watching the...

BLOOMINGTON - Marian Josephine Homan, 80, of Bloomington passed away Tuesday, June 13, 2017 at 11:50 p.m. at Aperion Care in Bloomington. She was born August 3, 1936, the daughter of Fred and Helen Jurd Stiles. She married Emmett (Bob) Homan on November 15, 1968 in Bloomington. He precedes her in death.
Marian was known as a "jack of all trades," and especially enjoyed singing and cooking, possessing a number of famous recipes. Over the years, Marian worked as a hairdresser and sales clerk at several local shops. She could often be found watching the Food Network on cable television.
Surviving are a son Mark (Val) Homan of Roseburg, Oregon; daughter Faith (Ron) Putney of Fort Walton Beach, Florida; eight grandchildren, Nathan (Kimberly) Putney of Valparaiso, Florida; Hope (Jose) Putney of Fort Walton Beach, Florida; Lacey Erschen of Clinton, Illinois; Sarah (Christopher) Lakin of Stover, Missouri; Rachel Adams of Stover, Missouri; Tori Lynn McCurdy of Elgin, Illinois; Brooklyn Reed of Bloomington, Illinois; and Jocelyn Reed of Bloomington, Illinois; eleven great grandchildren; as well as a brother, Robert Stiles of Mahomet, Illinois and several nieces and nephews.
Marian was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a daughter, Lynette Reed; and two brothers, Harold and Kenny Stiles.
A celebration of life will be held on July, 21, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at East Lawn Funeral Home in Bloomington.
Memorial contributions may be made to the family in lieu of flowers.
