Fern Connour, 87, of Bloomington passed away Tuesday, September 12, 2017 at 2:45 a.m. She was born on May 18, 1930 in Hudson Township, Illinois, the daughter of John and Neola Tones Hinthorn. She married William West, and later married William Connour on February 1, 1964 in Hudson. He preceded her in death on March 19, 1999.
Fern spent her entire life dedicated to her large family of kids and grandkids. Her children will remember her as an excellent mother. Fern also enjoyed camping, traveling, and cooking.

Fern Connour, 87, of Bloomington passed away Tuesday, September 12, 2017 at 2:45 a.m. She was born on May 18, 1930 in Hudson Township, Illinois, the daughter of John and Neola Tones Hinthorn. Fern is survived by five sons; Richard (Vickie) West of Normal; Steven West of Bloomington; David West of Bloomington; William (Sue) West of El Paso; and James West of Bloomington; two daughters, Margaret Ann (Darrell) Cope of Bloomington and Mary Beth Livengood of Chillicothe, Missouri; 19 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren, and two great great grandchildren. She is also survived by a daughter-in-law Terri West of Bloomington; a sister, Edith Greenleaf of Bakersfield, California; and several nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by a son, Donald West; two granddaughters, Kim Cope and Kim West; a grandson, Justin West; two brothers, Melvin Hinthorn and Russell Hinthorn; and two sisters; Edna Armstrong and Mildred Starkey.
Funeral services will be held Monday, September 18th at 3 p.m.at East Lawn Funeral Home in Bloomington. Burial will follow at East Lawn Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held two hours prior to services at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Ronald McDonald House.
